In Harmony: The Women of Lady Cove
In Harmony: The Women of Lady Cove will chronicle the story of a remarkable group of Newfoundland women as they prepare for the world class Béla Bartók Choral Competition and then travel to Hungary to participate. We’ll watch as they experience the nerve-wracking and exhausting preparations and rehearsals leading up to the event, and then continue with them as they make their way to the competition. We’ll see up close their reactions to what unfolds around them. They are strangers in a strange country, tasked with meeting the immense challenge and pressure of competing at an elite level. Lady Cove represents more than just the spirit of competition. They are a testament to the power of music to bring people together and break down social and cultural divides.

Teen Reality
What does the future hold for today’s teens? Does their fear of AIDS, divorce, drug addiction or status predispose adolescents to a life where these fears become reality? Or will the day to day struggles faced by teens serve to make them stronger adults, better able to cope in today’s world? By gaining insight and perspective into the real thoughts‚ fears‚ hopes and concerns of teens‚ we are better able to understand why these people are who they are, and determine what their individual and collective outcomes will be. Young adults are contributing members of modern society. Their lives reflect the reality of living in the 21st century. Their words reflect the reality of their generation.
